Maria Cline (She/They) is a multifaceted artist living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They explore the themes of pain, care, and grief in the context of the body’s experiences, particularly queer and disabled experiences. With a fifteen-year background in dance and lifelong health conditions, Maria navigates their profound connection to the body’s abilities and limitations. While creating fiber-based pieces to meditate on her personal experiences, Maria has also facilitated both one-on-one and group grief reflections which stitch together mind, spirit and body. Cline’s work allows you to consider the thoughts, What does it mean to be in a Body? How can I hold Pain’s hand and honor them in my daily life?

Maria is passionate about guiding you through grief-filled experiences while keeping you rooted in your body. She recognizes the innate wisdom the body holds in your personal experience, whether that be disability, death, or the myriad of ways life lays grief at your door. They are steadfast in the notion that no grief is too small to honor.

Maria cares for young children living with various disabilities as a day job. Children are the most insightful teachers Maria has had the pleasure of learning from. She is currently studying to become a death doula and grief worker.
